The purpose of the launch phase is to prepare and deploy the coded website for public viewing. Websites are housed on a devoted set of computers called webservers and compatibility of codes, versions, band-withs are all considerations before moving your site to the site’s webserver. Testing in the live environment will be minimal. There should be minimum tweaks if any because of all the planning, design and testing prior to deployment
Congratulations your website is officially online and live. It’s time to remove the “Under construction” page. In the past one client had a Zoom Grand Opening. One last note, we have in rare cases had to wait for the internet to propagate the website data before it is viewable worldwide (4 to 24 hours).
We are firm believers of testing and use diagnostic tools and use code validators, broken-link checkers, website health checks, spell-checker and the like. We want to find any hidden mistakes rather than hearing complaints from you or your client or an end-user. After all tests and last-minute adjustments (if any) our final cross-browser checking is finally. (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, iPhone, BlackBerry).
